Vintage Sewing Basket

Working with a vintage sewing basket today. I love the aqua, just reminded me of the beach. This is the before picture.

6x6 mini from a 12x12 sheet of card stock

Today was my very first video of a tutorial I did for a 6x6 mini using (1) sheet of 12x12 card stock and a page from the Gabrielle line that had 6x6 sections. It was all leftovers from a BoBunny kit I used for a Kathy Orta mini I made. I don't know if any one has come up with this idea but I love how easy and versatile it is. I used Kathy Orta's design for the hidden hinge. I am going to make a thicker one using the base page from a 12x12.     If you pull this one up part 2 has the finished project. Enjoy!

I can never go to the Post Office....

....without visiting my favorite little antique shop. It is one block down and I can't help it but I get lost in there. There is so much to look at, things piled up everywhere. I have been keeping my eye on a English saddle they have had in there for sale for a year now. The only thing is the Tennesee Walker is only a year old and I won't need this saddle for at least 2 more years. It is black and is a dressage saddle, which will be perfect. Best of all, it is only 45 dollars, swoon!

They have trays of salt dips and little silver spoons, I was tempted but walked out with nothing.

I really need to clean up my studio today, it is a mess. I have been working on two projects and the leftovers are all over the floor.

I did get the coolest long armed stapler at the Salvation Army store at $9.99 it was a splurge but it works, BONUS! Two-toned brown and cream. I don't know if it is vintage but it is has a reverse handle and will take 3 different sized staples!

The Boston paper trimmer I got at a second hand shop in Leesburg for 5 dollars, cuts chipboard like a dream, score! The small treasures were from several stores.  The religious cards were given to me by the saleslady, some of them are made in Italy and date back to 1922. The bunny will go great in a shadow box I think or a Tim Holtz tray.
